Cartographic Operator Consultant
Job Description:
Mission Overview:
Keystone Solutions is seeking a Cartographic Operator for a consultancy mission at a client site. This role involves supporting the deployment of the ICARB application, which replaces the current ICAR application, and requires training and assistance for municipal agents. Training sessions will typically take place on-site at municipal locations, while assistance will be provided through online and telephone support.
Key Responsibilities:
The Cartographic Operator will be responsible for processing requests for cartographic modifications reported by municipal agents. This primarily involves changes to road layouts and address placements using ArcGIS Pro software. The operator will also handle tasks that may be too complex for municipal agents, such as street name splits/mergers and address renumbering. Additionally, the operator will respond to inquiries from municipal agents regarding the use of the application and best practices for managing addresses and street names.
The trainer will prepare, organize, and conduct training and information sessions on the ICARB application for municipal agents and representatives. They will also be responsible for creating training materials. Initially, sessions may be organized for multiple municipalities by province, followed by more specific on-site sessions at municipal administrations or at Cap Sud in Namur. Given the diverse profiles of municipal agents, the trainer must demonstrate pedagogical skills.
Soft Skills Required:
- Attention to detail - Perform work with accuracy, method, and precision.
- Work planning - Organize work considering deadlines and priorities while optimizing resource use.
- Initiative - Proactively implement actions while considering their impacts.
- Communication - Ensure clear understanding of information received and transmitted.
- Networking - Actively maintain formal and informal relationships and/or establish professional networks with resource persons.
- Teamwork - Assist and support colleagues and contribute to the completion of team tasks.
Evaluation Method:
A detailed questionnaire based on specific questions will be sent to candidates prior to the interview. This questionnaire may be eliminatory if responses are unsatisfactory or demonstrate that the candidate does not meet the requirements. Remaining candidates will be invited for an interview with a jury, the composition of which will be communicated later. The interview may take place remotely if circumstances require.
