Mission Overview:

Keystone Solutions is recruiting a Senior Functional Tester to join our consultancy team and deliver mission-critical testing services for our client. As a Keystone Solutions consultant, you will contribute directly to the clients digital transformation initiatives, ensuring their software operates as expected at both technical and functional levels. You will perform all responsibilities under Keystone Solutions consultancy model, collaborating closely with the clients teams on-site in Brussels and remotely.

Consultancy Model at Keystone Solutions:

This is a consultancy mission through Keystone Solutions. You will be deployed on-site at the client location as part of our consulting engagement and will work with the clients Software Team Leader, functional analysts, developers, and operations engineers. You will report into the clients Software Team Leader while being supported by Keystone Solutions consulting community, methods, and career development framework.

About the Client and Context:

Our client supports notary offices and their employees across Belgium with legal expertise, management advice, IT solutions, training, and public information. Within the clients ICT service unit, innovative solutions are developed to support the notarial sectors digital transformation and improve user experience across domains such as real estate, enterprise, and family law, using state-of-the-art technologies.

Key Responsibilities (performed as a Keystone Solutions consultant):

• As a Senior Functional Tester, you are in charge of checking that the developed software operates as expected, on both technical and functional level. You support the other members of the software design and delivery team by bringing your expertise. You are responsible for functional and non-functional testing, end-to-end testing with external partners, from integration to qualification as well as end user support for acceptance testing. You also play a role in the continuous improvement effort of testing processes and the implementation of quality assurance.
• You will report to the Software Team Leader and work in close contact with functional analysts, developers and engineers within the operations department.
• As Senior Functional Tester (automated for APIs + manual for UIs), your main responsibilities will include:
• • To define the test strategy;
  • To review business requests and analysis documents;
  • To create and execute test cases, scenarios and plans;
  • To follow up on defects and issues and write test reports;
  • To automate test cases by using different tools depending on technologies and needs;
  • To support the involved teams and to assist your team in the estimation of the test effort and test plan required for projects;
  • To improve processes and test deliverables;

Technical Skills (you have):

• A bachelors degree or above;
• Minimal 5 years of relevant experience in software testing (manual and automated);
• Experience with Manual testing, API testing and building test strategies;
• Strong knowledge of testing processes and methodologies (ISTQB certification is an asset);
• Experience in testing Java services, web services, REST APIs, proxy services and open standards such as XML, XSD, WSDL;
• Solid experience in analyzing and modelling complex processes and workflows;
• Knowledge of tools such as Jira, Xray and ReadyAPI. Katalon or Selenium are a plus;
• Experience working in Agile environments;
• Experience with Groovy Script or equivalence;
• Nice to have: familiarity with public administration systems.

Soft Skills (you are):

• Fluent in both Dutch/English or French/English and you at least have a good understanding of the language for which you wouldnt be fluent;

Working Model and Location:

• Location: 1000 Brussels and remote (consultancy on-site with the client through Keystone Solutions).
• Hybrid model: 40% in the office on Monday (fixed day), Wednesday or Friday; 60% homeworking.
• On-site presence: Ability to be on-site at least 2 days per week is required.

• You will operate as a Keystone Solutions consultant embedded within the clients teams, combining on-site collaboration in Brussels with remote delivery.
• Your daily interactions will include the clients Software Team Leader, functional analysts, developers, operations engineers, and external partners for end-to-end testing.
